- New Everest Active replaces the Trend as the starting point for the SUV family.
- 125kW 2.0-litre turbo-diesel replaces the 154kW biturbo engine across the range.
- First customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in mid-2026.
Following on from pricing of the revised 2026 Ranger ute line up recently, Ford New Zealand has revealed the pricing for the popular Everest SUV, which has been the number-one selling large SUV in the country for three consecutive years.
Like the Ranger, the major technical change over the previous model is the introduction of a 125kW/405Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine, which replaces the previous 154kW biturbo unit. This engine is an update of the diesel engine used in the Transit, with a new timing chain and a revised fuel injection system, paired with a now-standard 10-speed automatic transmission across the entire Everest line-up.
The revised line up sees the demise of the entry level Everest Trend, with the Everest Active becoming the new entry point for the range, priced from $68,990. It is powered by the 2.0-litre engine and features a "bold new design theme" Ford says is intended to provide a premium feel at a more accessible price point.
Standard equipment for the Active model is comprehensive, including 18-inch alloy wheels, leather-accented seats, privacy glass, a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, a tyre pressure monitoring system and LED headlights.
The Everest Sport now offers a choice between the 2.0-litre turbo engine and the 3.0-litre V6 powertrain and also gets the tyre pressure monitoring system as standard, while the top-spec Wildtrak and Platinum models are exclusively powered by the 184kW V6, along with the Everest Tremor that makes a return to the range.
The 2026 Everest line up mirrors Ford's approach to pricing the 2026 Ranger, with four-cylinder models (with the less powerful 2.0-litre engine) taking a price drop, while the V6 version of the Sport (the only model that offers both engines) sits slightly above 2025 154kW model. Existing V6 models have seen a slight price increase of between $1000 and $2000, while the Tremor is $2000 more than when it was last available here.
All Everest models continue to offer five-star safety and a 3500kg maximum braked towing capacity, while Ford is also debuting two new colours: Acacia Green and Alabaster White.
