- The GT 63 produces up to 860kW and 2000Nm.
- Its 106kWh battery supports up to 600kW DC charging.
- Mercedes-AMG claims up to 700km WLTP range for the GT 55.
Mercedes-AMG has ripped the covers off the new GT 4-Door Coupé, and yes, the big news is that Affalterbach’s four-door performance flagship has gone fully electric.

This is not a quiet retirement plan for AMG theatre, though.
The GT 63 4-Door Coupé produces up to 860kW and 2000Nm from three axial-flux electric motors, making it the most powerful version in the new range. A slightly less unhinged GT 55 will also be offered, still packing a substantial 600kW and 1800Nm.
Three motors, very little waiting

Both versions use fully variable AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel drive, with two motors on the rear axle and one at the front.
In the GT 63, Mercedes-AMG claims 0 to 100km/h in 2.4 seconds, or 2.1 seconds with a one-foot rollout. It will reach 200km/h in 6.8 seconds and top out at 300km/h with the optional Driver’s Package.
The GT 55 is hardly shy, either, with 0-100km/h in 2.8 seconds and the same 300km/h maximum when fitted with the Driver’s Package.
Battery built for repeat abuse

AMG is making a big deal of repeatable performance, not just one headline sprint.
The new 800-volt battery has 106kWh of usable capacity and uses directly cooled cylindrical cells, with technology influenced by Formula One and the Mercedes-AMG One.

Charging is equally serious. At suitable infrastructure, the GT 4-Door Coupé can accept up to 600kW, adding more than 460km of WLTP range in 10 minutes. Mercedes-AMG says a 10 to 80% charge takes 11 minutes.
WLTP range is listed at 596 to 696km for the GT 63 and 597 to 700km for the GT 55. Both models also get an 11kW AC charger.
Electric, but still theatrical

AMG knows some buyers will miss the old soundtrack, so it has leaned into simulation with surprising commitment.
The AMGForce Sport+ mode delivers a V8-style sound experience, haptic gearshift effects and a dedicated display layout.

There is plenty of chassis hardware too: AMG Active Ride Control air suspension, semi-active roll stabilisation, rear-axle steering and active aerodynamics, including underbody venturi elements and an active rear diffuser.
Inside, the GT 4-Door Coupé gets a driver-focused cockpit with a 10.2-inch instrument cluster, 14.0-inch central display and available 14.0-inch passenger screen. Production starts in Sindelfingen in the northern summer of 2026, with ordering due to open in the coming days.
