Following the success of last year’s event, Mercedes-Benz Auckland has officially announced that its popular Classics & Collectables Open Day will return on Saturday, 21 March 2026.

Transforming Mercedes-Benz Auckland's Newmarket showroom into a living museum of the brand's celebrated past and powerful present, the 2025 Open Day was an occasion that saw hundreds of visitors take in a "curated collection" that spanned from the 1960s to the latest high-performance AMG models.

The popular Mercedes-Benz Auckland Classics & Collectables Open Day will return for 2026.

Highlights of the 2025 event included the legendary 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster, the elegant 1966 230SL Pagoda, and the track-ready 2020 AMG GT R Pro.

For 2026, Mercedes-Benz Auckland says it is on track to display approximately 35 cars, featuring a mix of returning fan-favourites and new additions to the line up.

The stunning 2020 AMG GT R Pro was a highlight of the 2025 event.

Confirmed cars for 2026 include a 2014 SLS Black Series, a 1960 190 SL, a 1967 280 SL Pagoda and the pinnacle of open-top off-road motoring, a 2001 G 500 Cabriolet. In addition to these confirmed icons, the dealership is expecting to showcase several rare additions, including a 190 Evolution 2, a 560 SEC Coupé, and an example of the stunning SLR McLaren.

"It was great to see such a phenomenal turnout across the enthusiast community, and we’re extremely grateful to our customers for allowing us to showcase their vehicles," said Dealer Principal Michael Collins of the 2025 event.

A wide range of classic and modern Mercedes-Benz's will be on display at the Newmarket dealership.

"The variety and quality of the vehicles on display were amazing, and the positive response from everyone who attended made it a standout occasion. It was a genuine tribute to automotive excellence."

The 2026 event will take place on Saturday, 21 March from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Mercedes-Benz Auckland, 2 Great South Road, Newmarket, Auckland, and is completely free for the public to attend.
