- The new Lamborghini Fenomeno uses a retuned 6.5-litre V12 hybrid producing 782kW with a 7kWh battery.
- It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 2.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 350km/h.
- Global production is capped at 29 units, each priced from approximately $5.9 million.
Just when you thought Lamborghini couldn’t get any wilder, along comes the Fenomeno: a limited-run V12 hybrid that makes its Revuelto sibling look positively restrained.
Unveiled in time for Monterey Car Week’s most exclusive gatherings, it’s a car that blends excess with exclusivity in classic Sant’Agata fashion.
Loud looks, sharper lines
Visually, the Fenomeno ticks every outrageous Lamborghini box. Its front end is all angles and aggression, with slim LED headlights and a vented bonnet punctuated by oversized extraction outlets. A custom bumper and colour-matched splitter stripe keep things theatrical.
Drop your eyes along the side and the drama continues: reworked bodywork channels air through massive intakes behind the doors, while the stance is so slammed it looks like the factory forgot about speed bumps altogether. The rear is equally bespoke: carbon-fibre engine cover, fresh bodywork, quad centre-exit exhausts and Lamborghini’s signature Y-shaped tail-lights screaming “look at me”.
V12 rage, with a jolt of volts
Beneath the carbon skin lies a familiar yet turned-up hybrid heart. The 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 has been retuned to 613kW, up from the Revuelto’s 606kW. Pair that with a beefier 7kWh battery providing extra electric shove, and system output now peaks at 794kW/1075Nm - a 48kW bump over its donor car.
That added grunt slashes the 0 to 100km/h time to just 2.4 seconds, a tenth quicker than the Revuelto, while top speed remains a heady 350km/h. Electric-only running nudges up to 20km, though it’s safe to say few buyers will be hypermiling.
Only for the chosen 29
Inside, Lamborghini hasn’t meddled much, as the digital cockpit, floating centre screen and passenger display are all carried over. But let’s be honest - nobody is signing a cheque for the Fenomeno because of its infotainment.
And speaking of cheques, only 29 examples will ever exist, each starting from around €3 million (about NZ$5.9m). As with any ultra-exclusive Lamborghini, the hardest performance stat to hit might be simply getting an allocation.
At once familiar and feral, the Fenomeno shows Lamborghini still knows how to make noise that reverberates well beyond the showroom.
