Porsche has unveiled a new collector-grade 911 GT3 that pays tribute to Ferdinand Alexander “F. A.” Porsche, the man whose minimalist design philosophy helped shape both the original 911 and decades of products beyond cars.
The announcement follows what would have been his 90th birthday in December 2025, but the focus is firmly on legacy rather than calendar milestones.

Only 90 examples of the 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche will be built worldwide, each created through Porsche’s Sonderwunsch individualisation programme.
One has already been secured by his youngest son, Mark Porsche, with the remaining 89 offered to collectors when orders open in April 2026.
A GT3 with Touring manners

Under the skin, the commemorative model is based on the 911 GT3 with Touring Package, the more understated version of Porsche’s road-going track weapon.
That means a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six producing 375kW and 450Nm, paired with subtle aero and an extendable rear spoiler instead of the towering fixed wing. Production is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026, once buyers finalise their bespoke specifications.
Inspired by a jacket, not a race suit

The design brief leans heavily into personal history. The exclusive F. A. Greenmetallic paint was developed specifically for this model, inspired by the Oak Green shade worn by F. A. Porsche’s own 911 in the 1980s.
Inside, Truffle Brown Club Leather is paired with Chalk Beige stitching and seat centres trimmed in a distinctive “F. A. Grid-Weave” fabric, echoing the patterned jackets he was known to wear.
Details border on the obsessive. There’s an open-pore walnut gear knob engraved with F. A. Porsche’s signature, a gold-plated dashboard plaque marked “One of 90”, and Sport Classic wheels in satin-gloss black, which is otherwise unavailable on a GT3 Touring.
More than just the car

Ownership goes beyond the keys. Each buyer receives an exclusive Porsche Design Chronograph 1, finished in black-coated titanium and styled to mirror the car’s vintage cues, along with a matching leather weekender bag trimmed in the same materials as the cabin.
Porsche hasn’t disclosed pricing yet, but scarcity, craftsmanship and heritage suggest this GT3 is aimed squarely at collectors who value design lineage as much as lap times.
