  • Renault plans to launch 26 new vehicles by 2030 and target more than 2 million sales annually.
  • The Bridger concept previews a sub-4m SUV due in production form before the end of 2027.
  • Renault’s next RGEV platform promises up to 750km range, 800V charging and a 4x4 EV variant.

Renault has laid out an ambitious new plan for the rest of the decade, promising 26 new products over the next four years, a bigger international footprint and a broad electrification push that still leaves room for hybrids and combustion power where markets demand it.

The strategy, wrapped under the futuREady banner, is aimed squarely at growth through to 2030. Renault says it wants to sell more than 2 million vehicles by then, with half of those sales coming from outside Europe. It also wants all European sales to be electrified by 2030, while international markets are targeted to reach a 50% mix of electric and hybrid models.

Europe first, but not Europe only

Renault EV platform

In Europe, Renault plans to launch 12 new models by 2030. That includes fresh momentum in the smaller European A and B segments through cars such as the new Clio, Renault 5 E-Tech electric, Renault 4 E-Tech electric and Twingo E-Tech electric, while a second wave of vehicles is being prepared for the larger C and D classes.

The French brand is also making it clear that hybrid is not being shown the door just yet. Renault says its full hybrid E-Tech line-up will continue beyond 2030, while its next-generation electric models will ride on a new RGEV medium 2.0 platform.

That architecture promises up to 750km of WLTP driving range, an 800V setup for faster charging, and even a 4x4 electric variant with towing capacity of up to 2 tonnes. An EV with a range extender is also planned, with total range quoted at up to 1400km.

The concept doing the heavy lifting

For all the strategy-deck talk, the more tangible reveal is the Renault Bridger Concept, a sub-4m SUV previewing a new B-segment model for India and other export markets.

It’s a small SUV with fairly big ideas: 200mm of ground clearance, 18-inch wheels, 200mm of rear knee room and a 400L boot.

Renault says the production version is due before the end of 2027, launching first in India and then rolling out gradually elsewhere. It will be offered in combustion, hybrid or electric form depending on market needs.

Vans, concepts and a wider net

Renault’s commercial vehicles are part of the plan too.

The brand says its next software-defined van will use 800V tech and offer up to 450km of range.

There’s also the R-Space Lab, a 4.5m-long concept exploring flexible cabin layouts, steer-by-wire tech and a full-width panoramic display. Renault has not disclosed production timing yet.

As growth plans go, this one is hardly timid. The bigger question is whether Renault can juggle Europe’s EV transition while tailoring enough of the range for markets that still want a mix of everything.
