The people (that’s all of you, our valued readers) have spoken and the Toyota RAV4 is once again the DRIVEN Car Guide People's Choice for 2025.
People's Choice is a key part of our awards season - run in conjunction with (but separate to) our Car of the Year programme.
How People's Choice works
Every year we compile a list of the top-10-selling new cars in New Zealand and ask you to vote for your favourite. One lucky entrant, chosen at random, wins a major prize: this year, $2500 of fuel/charge.
From the many thousands of entries this year, the RAV4 dominated – as it has done virtually every year since our first Peoples Choice in 2019, with the exception of 2022 when the Tesla Model 3 (entered as a “wildcard”, given it was actually number 11 in sales) came top.
The winner of our fuel/charge prize was Lou Camenzind of Hamilton, so congratulations Lou! He voted for the Mitsubishi ASX.
