More equipment, more pulling power.

More equipment, more pulling power.

  • Audi’s 2027 Q3 update adds a 10.9-inch passenger display to the cabin.
  • The Q3 e-hybrid can now tow 2000 kg, an increase of 600 kg.
  • European production starts in early September, following order-book opening on 2 July.

Audi has given the Q3 a mid-cycle equipment update for the 2027 model year, with a new passenger display, a longer standard-equipment list and a useful lift in towing capacity for the plug-in hybrid.

The update follows the launch of the new-generation Q3. But this is not another full redesign; it is a later specification change for the European model range.

A screen for the passenger

The headline cabin addition is a 10.9-inch passenger display. Audi says the updated Q3 also brings a convenience key, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic air conditioning and a reversing camera into the standard-equipment list.

Those changes are aimed at making the compact SUV feel better equipped without stepping into a higher model line. Audi has not announced New Zealand specifications, pricing or launch timing for the updated Q3, so it remains to be seen which parts of the European package might make it here.

More useful e-hybrid

The practical change is reserved for the Q3 e-hybrid. Its maximum towing capacity rises by 600 kg to 2000 kg, putting a meaningful new number beside the plug-in hybrid’s efficiency credentials.

Audi says production of the updated Q3 range will begin in early September 2026. European order books opened on 2 July, ahead of that production start.

For New Zealand buyers, the update is a reminder that the new Q3’s specification is still evolving overseas. The passenger screen may catch the eye, but the extra towing ability could prove the more consequential change if the revised e-hybrid reaches this market.
