Kia has offered the first glimpse of its next electric van, releasing three teaser images and a video of the upcoming PV7 ahead of its world premiere in September.
The PV7 will be Kia's second dedicated all-electric Platform Beyond Vehicle, or PBV, extending the company's growing line-up into the light commercial vehicle segment. It follows the PV5 as Kia develops a broader family of purpose-built electric vehicles.
A robust one-box design
For now, Kia is keeping the details deliberately light. The teaser material shows a one-box profile with robust proportions, giving the PV7 the upright, space-focused shape expected of a commercial van.
Signature lamp graphics are visible at both the front and rear, providing the clearest styling link between the two ends of the vehicle. The treatment gives the van a recognisable Kia identity without distracting from its functional overall form.
The company has not yet disclosed the PV7's dimensions, battery capacity, driving range or power output. Pricing and New Zealand availability also remain unconfirmed, so the teaser is best viewed as an early design preview rather than a full product announcement.
Full reveal set for Hannover
Kia will unveil the PV7 in full at IAA Transportation in Hannover, Germany, on 14 September 2026. The event is a natural stage for a vehicle intended to take Kia's dedicated electric PBV range further into the commercial market.
