Lamborghini is looking back across nearly three decades of Monterey Car Week appearances as it prepares to add two more cars to the event’s history in 2026.
From Diablo to modern icons
The relationship began in 1998 with the Diablo SV Monterey Edition. Limited to 20 cars, it established a pattern of Lamborghini using the Californian gathering for rare editions, concepts and major new models.
The Concept S followed in 2005, bringing a striking interpretation of an open-top Lamborghini to Monterey. A decade later, the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster made its debut at the event, followed by the Centenario Roadster in 2016.
Monterey then became a regular stage for some of Lamborghini’s most closely watched introductions. The Aventador SVJ and the more exclusive SVJ 63 appeared in 2018, while the Countach LPI 800-4 arrived in 2021 as a modern interpretation of one of the brand’s defining names.
Two more chapters for 2026
The pace has continued in recent years. Lamborghini presented the Urus Performante at Monterey in 2022, the Lanzador concept in 2023 and the Temerario in 2024. The limited-run Fenomeno followed in 2025.
For 2026, Lamborghini says Monterey will host the presentation of the first derivative of the Revuelto and the Miura 60 Homage. The company has not disclosed specifications for either car, leaving their design, performance and production details for the event itself.
Neither presentation should be treated as complete just yet. Lamborghini’s announcement is a preview of what is coming to Monterey, rather than confirmation that either car has already made its debut.
The two newcomers will nevertheless arrive with considerable history behind them. From the 20-car Diablo of 1998 to concepts, roadsters and limited-production flagships, Monterey has become one of Lamborghini’s favoured settings for cars intended to make an impression.
