Lexus is taking its luxury ambitions further offshore, beginning overseas sales of the LY 680 yacht after launching the model in Japan during 2024.
The 20.63-metre vessel will make a public appearance at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which runs from 28 October to 1 November 2026. It marks the next stage in the LY 680 programme as Lexus moves beyond its Japanese home market.
At 5.76 metres wide, the luxury yacht is designed to carry up to 15 people. Accommodation comprises three cabins with berths for as many as six guests, giving the LY 680 the proportions and overnight capacity expected of a substantial luxury cruiser.
Power comes from twin Volvo Penta IPS 1350/1050 engines. The yacht carries 4012 litres of fuel and 852 litres of fresh water, figures that underline its focus on extended cruising rather than short harbour hops.
Lexus produces the LY 680 with Horizon Group, continuing a partnership that brings specialist yacht-building expertise to the carmaker's maritime flagship. The model applies the Lexus name to a very different type of luxury product, but one still centred on private travel and high-end craftsmanship.
Pricing has not been disclosed, and Lexus has not confirmed delivery timing or the first overseas markets to receive the yacht. Those details will be important for prospective buyers, particularly as the LY 680 begins appearing outside Japan and at international events.
For now, the Fort Lauderdale showing will give Lexus a prominent stage for its overseas push — and put the LY 680 in front of one of the world's most established luxury-yacht audiences.
