Mercedes-Benz is sending the new S-Class on a transcontinental anniversary drive that will bring the flagship limousine to Australia and New Zealand.
The 140 Years, 140 Places journey marks 140 years of Mercedes-Benz innovation, with customers, fans and communities involved along the route.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the convoy is planned to cover more than 50,000km across six continents, linking 140 selected places connected to the brand's history, pioneering spirit and global presence.
Three new S-Class sedans began the journey after the S-Class world premiere in January.
The route started in Stuttgart before travelling through Europe, South America, North America and Asia. The global drive is scheduled to finish back in Stuttgart in October 2026.
Australia and New Zealand stops

The Australia leg will visit Melbourne, Victoria, Canberra, Sydney, Byron and Brisbane. The tour is also set to cross the Tasman, with Auckland, Queenstown and Christchurch named as New Zealand stops.
Mercedes-Benz has not disclosed exact New Zealand dates, public event access details, local pricing or market specification for the new S-Class. That means Kiwi buyers and brand fans will need to wait for further local information before knowing where, when and how they can see the cars in person.
New flagship, old friends

The anniversary format is not limited to the latest S-Class. Along the route, the new sedan is joined by classic cars, current production models and local vehicles, giving each stop a mix of Mercedes-Benz past and present.
That makes the New Zealand leg more than a simple product tour. The S-Class has long been used by Mercedes-Benz as a showcase for comfort, safety and technology, so placing the latest version beside historic and locally relevant vehicles gives the anniversary drive a wider point: a rolling reminder of how the brand wants its flagship to connect heritage with future intent.
For now, the confirmed local headline is simple. Mercedes-Benz's 140th anniversary tour is coming to New Zealand, and Auckland, Queenstown and Christchurch are on the map.
