- All Taycan models gain Porsche's new E-Shift option, simulating eight gear changes with paddles, sound and shift feel.
- The Taycan Turbo GT now gets E-Shift as standard:Manthey Kit brings Nurburgring upgrades.
- RWD Taycan variants can reach up to 700km WLTP range with Performance Battery Plus.
Porsche has added a more emotive layer to the Taycan for the latest model year, led by a new E-Shift function across the range.
The system is designed to mimic the feel of gear changes in an electric car. It combines virtual gear steps, noticeable shift jerks, a revised Electric Sport Sound and a virtual rev counter. Cars fitted with the GT-sports steering wheel also use paddles to shift between eight simulated gears.

The feature is optional on Taycan models, but standard on the Taycan Turbo GT. Porsche says the update is part of a broader push to make the electric sports sedan feel more involving.
"By introducing comprehensive innovations for the model year change, we are strengthening the Taycan in all relevant areas: the latest models offer a more emotive driving experience, greater track performance and more intuitive and customisable operation," says Kevin Giek, Head of the model line.
Manthey comes to Taycan
The Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package can now be fitted with a Manthey Kit, marking the first Manthey kit for an electric sports car.

Porsche will offer the package either from the factory or as a retrofit. Its track credentials are already clear: Lars Kern set a 6:55.533 lap record for electric executive cars in a Taycan Turbo GT fitted with the Manthey Kit.
Porsche has not detailed every hardware change in the source material, but the result gives the flagship Taycan a sharper circuit-focused option for buyers chasing lap-time performance.
Longer range and a smarter cabin

Range also improves for rear-drive Taycan variants. With new low rolling resistance summer tyres and the Performance Battery Plus, Porsche quotes a WLTP range of up to 700km.
Inside, the Taycan receives Porsche Digital Interaction, a new infotainment setup with a modern interface, widgets and a 3D vehicle model shown in the car's actual colour. The system also brings an improved AI-supported Voice Pilot, expanded Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, a better Charging Planner, over-the-air infotainment updates and a 25W magnetic smartphone tray.
Together, the changes make the Taycan feel less like a simple model-year tweak and more like a focused update to its character, capability and daily usability.
