Rolls-Royce has given its electric super-coupé a careful but meaningful update, revealing the Spectre Series II and Black Badge Spectre Series II with more range, faster charging and fresh Bespoke options.
The headline number is range. Thanks to re-engineered battery cell technology, Spectre Series II can now travel up to 628km on the WLTP cycle, an increase of up to 18 per cent. Charging times are also reduced by up to 14 per cent, with a 10-80 per cent DC charge taking 28 minutes at up to 195kW.
More silence, more shove
Standard Spectre Series II produces 442kW and 1015Nm from its dual-motor electric drivetrain.
It reaches 100km/h in 4.5 seconds, which is brisk enough for something weighing 2925kg and designed to glide rather than shout.
Black Badge Spectre Series II goes further, becoming the most powerful Rolls-Royce yet.
In Infinity Mode, output rises to 500kW, while Spirited Mode unlocks up to 1100Nm. The Black Badge version trims the 0-100km/h sprint to 4.3 seconds.
“Spectre is a landmark motor car for Rolls-Royce – conceived by our engineers, designers and craftspeople, informed by our clients and acclaimed the world over,” said Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
Bespoke gets broader

Rolls-Royce has left Spectre’s basic shape alone, which is probably wise.
The fastback profile, split headlamp signature and clean surfacing remain, now joined by a new solid exterior colour called Ethereal Blue.

There is also a new 23-inch forged alloy wheel design, hand-finished for up to six hours per wheel. Buyers can choose part-polished or fully polished finishes.
Inside, the Bespoke catalogue grows again. Duality Twill, a bamboo-based rayon fabric, is now offered on Spectre and can involve up to 2.6 million stitches and 16km of thread. Placed Perforation leather is also available, with a moonlit cloud-inspired pattern made from 78,138 perforations.
Black Badge goes darker

Black Badge Spectre Series II gains a new Iced Black exterior detailing option, applying a satin-like matte finish to much of the brightwork, including the grille surround, door handles and Spirit of Ecstasy.
The Pantheon grille vanes remain polished, because even Rolls-Royce knows where to stop.

A new aviation-inspired clock also appears within a Clock Cabinet vitrine, joined by an up-lit Spirit of Ecstasy figurine in solid stainless steel.
Rolls-Royce has not disclosed New Zealand pricing or availability yet.
