A 1993 Range Rover Classic has emerged from a factory restoration spanning more than 2000 hours, with the finished vehicle designed to form a visual pair with a new Range Rover SV Ultra.
Old body, thorough rebuild
Finished in Titan Silver, the Classic will make its public debut alongside the new SV Ultra during Monterey Car Week 2026. The project gives the older model a direct visual connection to its modern counterpart while retaining the mechanical foundations of the original vehicle.

The donor started life as a US-market County Edition, powered by a 3.9-litre V8 and a four-speed automatic transmission. Range Rover completely rebuilt both, alongside the suspension, steering and braking systems.
That work makes the project much more than a cosmetic refresh. The extensive mechanical rebuild sits beneath a cabin that introduces an unusual first for the older model: this is the first Range Rover Classic upholstered in Ultrafabrics.
Its interior combines Orchid White and Cinder Grey, adding another point of connection between the restored Classic and the new SV Ultra. Together, the two vehicles present Range Rover design from different eras as a deliberately matched set.

Monterey auction awaits
Only the Classic is heading under the hammer. RM Sotheby's will offer the restored 1993 vehicle at auction on 14 August 2026, following preview days from 12 to 14 August.

The timing places its sale during the pair's Monterey Car Week debut, giving auction visitors the chance to inspect the restored vehicle before bidding. No sale result is available ahead of the auction.
For now, the story rests in the scale and detail of the restoration: more than 2,000 hours spent rebuilding a three-decade-old Range Rover, then pairing it visually with one of the marque's newest models.
