- Leapmotor and Stellantis officially started B10 production at the Zaragoza plant in Spain on 16 October.
- The B05 is planned as Zaragoza's second Leapmotor model, with its production start date undisclosed.
- Zaragoza already builds the Opel Corsa, Peugeot 208 and Lancia Ypsilon for other Stellantis brands.
Leapmotor has started building its B10 in Spain, using a Stellantis factory that already produces cars for Opel, Peugeot and Lancia.
Stellantis and Leapmotor inaugurated production this month, naming the B05 as the next Leapmotor model planned for the site, although the companies have not disclosed when B05 assembly will begin.
Plans to build the B05 in Spain had already been reported in 2025. With the B10 now entering production at Zaragoza, the latest announcements show how the models fit into Leapmotor's European manufacturing plans.
A factory shared with established brands
Zaragoza already makes the Opel Corsa, Peugeot 208 and Lancia Ypsilon. Leapmotor is joining a site with an existing workforce and supplier network, which the partners intend to use for production aimed at European customers.

Stellantis and Leapmotor cite the Spanish plant's quality, available capacity and industrial experience as reasons for choosing it. Their approach is to manufacture locally for the European market, adding Leapmotor vehicles to the work carried out within Stellantis' established manufacturing network.
The partnership dates back to Stellantis' investment in Leapmotor in 2023, followed by the formation of their joint venture in May 2024. The Zaragoza start gives that relationship a vehicle production programme in Spain.
B05 to follow the B10
For now, the two models are at different stages: B10 production has officially begun, while the B05 remains a planned addition to the plant.

The B05 plan would give the site a second Leapmotor model to build for European customers. The partners have yet to put a date on when that assembly work will start.
