- A production Skoda Peaq 90 travelled 936km across Europe without recharging.
- Supervised run used economy driving and a selected route.
- Rear-wheel-drive SUV combined a 210kW motor with an 86kWh battery and standard tyres.
Skoda's Peaq has travelled 936km without plugging in, stretching its claimed range well beyond the official test figure.
The maker describes it as a range record for a 7-seat electric SUV, achieved in a production Peaq 90.

There is an important qualification for anyone planning a family road trip: the route was deliberately selected and the drivers concentrated on economy. Skoda says the result does not represent everyday use.
Even with that caveat, the distance is substantial. It exceeds the Peaq's maximum quoted WLTP range of 647km by 289km, or about 45%.
From Mladá Boleslav to Zandvoort
The journey began at midday on 25 August in Mladá Boleslav, the Czech city where Skoda is based.
After travelling through Germany, the Peaq reached Zandvoort in the Netherlands on the afternoon of 26 August.

Skoda model-series head Marek Jež and battery-strategy specialist Jakub Krs shared the driving. The trip included driver changes and stops for rest and food, so the elapsed time should not be read as continuous driving.
TÜV SÜD supervised the exercise. The recorded consumption was 9.2kWh/100km, illustrating how far careful energy use can stretch the battery over a suitably chosen route.
A production SUV, carefully driven

The car used for the run was a rear-wheel-drive Peaq 90 with a 210kW motor. Its battery has a gross capacity of 91kWh, of which 86kWh is usable.
It ran on standard 19-inch wheels with low-rolling-resistance tyres. Skoda also cites a drag coefficient of 0.249, a useful ingredient when the aim is to cover distance while spending as little energy as possible.

The achievement therefore shows what the production hardware can deliver under a focused economy-driving approach. The 936km figure remains a result from this particular journey, rather than a replacement for the published WLTP rating.
The run comes as the Peaq moves into customers' hands. Skoda says orders have passed 10,000 and the first customer deliveries are beginning.
